Good price, quality and play for beginning band students Feb 23, 2010
By Andrea L. Polk Recommended by the middle school band instructor, I had previously purchased Rico reeds at a local store, but found the pricing on Amazon to be better, thus my purchase.
At an average of two dollars per reed, these are a step down from the Rico Royal - Alto Sax #2.0 - Box of 10, but perfectly adequate for the beginning alto sax player. They are durable (no chipping, cracking or splitting) with average use (30 minutes a day for 2 weeks).
I'd recommend them to alto sax players who are in beginning to intermediate band classes (elementary and middle school), who want to purchase quality reeds at a budget price.

The reed of choice for music teachers Nov 13, 2010

I am a music teacher working with beginning students and they go through a lot of reeds before they learn how to keep them from breaking. Rico reeds are consistent, affordable, and easy to get. Amazon has a good price, and they get them to me quick.

Good quality for the price. Dec 08, 2009

They seem to be a good quality for the price. Our friend who also plays sax said he wants us to order some for him. He was the one who suggested this brand. Can't match the price anywhere locally.

Fabulous May 21, 2010
By Phillip I. Van I purchased these reeds for my little brother who easily breaks his reeds, and it so happened he broke his last reed 5 days before his concert and no store had reeds in my area. The reeds arrived safe and secure 2 days before the concert. Very pleased with the fast shipping and well handled item. I'm definitely coming back here if he runs out again, but these reeds haven't broken yet and are still really good. ***Definitely Recommend***Great Item***
