Good Quality At A Low Price Oct 27, 2009

I got this instrument not expecting necessarily expecting great quality because of the low price. I based my buy off the brand, which makes good mouthpieces at the very least, and the fact that it had a high F# key, which is usually an indication of a higher quality instrument.
True, it doesn't have anything on the Cannonball Sceptyr or even the Yamaha Allegro, but it's still better quality than I ever would have expected for the price. It has slightly bigger tuning problems than I have on my alto, but it gets decent tone quality and both high and low ranges are pretty easy to hit on it. The stock mouthpiece is pretty good as well, but it is a stock mouthpiece so you could always get better.
Overall, a very good investment if you're looking for a student-intermediate quality saxophone for a low price.
