| | Description | The universal reed, Vandoren Traditional Saxophone Reeds are widely used among professionals in all genres. This reed is designed to produce a quality of extremely pure sound due to a very thin reed tip (the area of reed with maximum vibration) and a solid vertebral column (more cane in the area which climbs gradually to the heel). These reeds are recognizable by a straight line to delineate the limit of the area of bark. The favorite reed of recognized saxophonists like Stan Getz, Lee Konitz and Marcel Mule, Vandoren Traditional Reeds have always been used with equal success by many players. | |

Wonderful Sound! Jul 28, 2004
By Sharon Preiss I've been using these reeds for years and they never have shown me a bad side. They last a long time and the sound quality never fails. An excellent choice for regular players.

Awsome Read For Marching Nov 08, 2009
By RomerauxRockz I play Saxaphone in a High School Marching band, and these reeds are really strong and durable. I used to use Rico reeds, but I found out that Vanduren actually helped me play lower notes. Very good!!! 5/5!

Great reeds! Nov 20, 2010
By busymomwithkindle My daughter has been using Vandoren reeds for over a year now. This is her second year playing the alto saxophone. We moved her from a #2 reed to a #2.5 reed at the beginning of this year and she's been doing great. These reeds are high quality and worth the extra money. If you rotate them each time you play and keep them in a good reed guard case so they dry thoroughly without warping, they last a long time.

Vandoren Reeds Dec 28, 2010
By Renzhong Liu
"Felix"
Vandoren Saxophone Reeds have always brought joy into my saxophone playing and practicing. The reeds bring a crisper tone into the music produced by the horn. Unlike standard Rico reeds, Vandoren reeds are packaged individually in order to stop possible damage done by changes in climate. I loved this idea because it really brought the best possible quality reeds to me. Also, the price was affordable and definitely worth the quality of these reeds.

Always a quality reed for my son's sax Jan 09, 2011
By Anthony Wessel I have bought these reeds many times for my sax. Will always buy online because of the high margin the local music store chain thinks they need to have.
